Create and Edit DocumentDB Server Side Scripts in the Azure Preview Portal

The DocumentDB Script Explorer now supports creating, editing, and deleting stored procedures, user-defined functions, and triggers! You can read more about DocumentDB server side programming here.

Now, let’s get started with the new functionality.  Within Script Explore, click the applicable command depending on the type of script you wish to create.

Querying and Editing DocumentDB Data Just Got Better

DocumentDB queries, documents, and server-side programming in the Azure preview portal, including:

  • Query Explorer Improvements
  • Document Explorer Improvements
  • An all new Script Explorer

DocumentDB’s language integrated, transactional execution of JavaScript lets developers writestored procedures, triggers and user defined functions (UDFs) natively in JavaScript. This allows you to write application logic that can be shipped and executed directly on the database storage partitions.
